James Bullard, President and Chief Executive Officer Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
James Bullard, as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, participates in the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) and directs the activities of the Bank’s head office in St. Louis and of its branches in Little Rock, Ark., Louisville, Ky., and Memphis, Tenn. An economist, Dr. Bullard joined the Bank in 1990 and became president in 2008. His research has appeared in numerous professional journals, and as a peer reviewer for many periodicals, he currently serves as co-editor of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control. In addition, he has participated in over 150 conferences, symposia and lectures around the world. Bullard is an honorary professor of economics at Washington University in St. Louis, where he also serves on the advisory councils of the economics department and of the Olin Business School’s Center for Finance and Accounting Research Treasury and Risk magazine named Dr. Bullard as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Finance in 2011. A native of Forest Lake, Minn., Bullard earned his doctorate in economics from Indiana University in Bloomington. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in economics and in quantitative methods and information systems from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minn.
Jim McKelvey, Co-Founder Square
In 2009, Jim McKelvey co-founded mobile payment company Square with Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey. The company has raised approximately $168 million, is processing an average of $2 billion per year in transactions, and recently surpassed one million merchants using the payment device. Prior to Square, McKelvey was instrumental in creating two other successful enterprises. In 2002, driven by his passion for art and armed with experience gained as a glassblowing instructor early in his career, he co-founded Third Degree Glass Factory, now the largest public-access glass art education center in St. Louis. His first foray into entrepreneurship came in 1989 when he founded Mira, a digital publishing company he still owns and serves as Chairman. McKelvey graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1987 with dual degrees in Economics and Computer Science. After graduation, he worked as a Visiting Scientist at IBM’s Los Angeles Scientific Center. He resides in St. Louis with his wife Anna and their son Jimmy.

Charles Jaco, St. Louis Fox 2 News
During a career with NBC, CNN, CBS and Fox, Jaco has covered nine wars, a half-dozen riots, and countless earthquakes, floods, and hurricanes. He has also covered Congress, the White House, the Pentagon, and various intelligence agencies. He has won two Edward R. Murrow awards, six National Headliner awards, and two dozen other national and international journalism awards; two programs on which he worked have received the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award. He has written for dozens of publications, including Rolling Stone, the Chicago Tribune, the Boston Globe, and the Miami Herald. He currently is a reporter for St. Louis Fox 2 News as well as a reporter, writer and anchor of a weekly news program. He’s a graduate of the University of Chicago, and holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University. His wife, Melissa, and his daughter, Elise, are unimpressed by any of this, but love him anyway. The attitude of his dogs remains a mystery.
